It’s Pumpkin season and we created this tasty Pumpkin Applesauce Cake that can be served as either a dessert or a breakfast coffee cake.

This is clearly not a Greek recipe, but it is a recipe that we love so we wanted to share it with you. This Pumpkin Applesauce Cake includes pumpkin puree and applesauce that make this cake incredibly moist, while the flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and pumpkin pie spice are subtle but create warm flavors.

You can also add combination of chopped nuts, dried fruit or chocolate chips to the cake batter before pouring into the bundt pan to take it up to another level.

Super quick to whip up, this will become a fall favorite for you and your family too.

  2. Add all dry ingredients to a bowl (flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice) and combine well.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter. Add pumpkin puree and applesauce and combine well with a wire whisk.

  8. Place a large serving dish or cake plate on top of the open side of the bundt pan. Carefully turn the bundt pan and cake plate over to release the cake onto the cake plate. Dust the top of the cake with powered sugar prior to serving.
