TZATZIKI SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt whole
  • 1/3 english cucumber unpeeled
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp dill dried
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Grate the cucumber into a bowl.
  • Place the grated cucumber into a cheesecloth, and squeeze out all the excess water.
  • Place the drained cucumber into a bowl with the yogurt, garlic, dill, lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper. Combine thoroughly.
  • Refrigerate the Tzatziki Sauce overnight or for at least 4-5 hours before serving.
