Quick, and always a treat, shrimp are absolutely one of our favorite dishes to prepare and serve. The versatility of this ingredient also gives us lots of recipe options.

Our Greek Style Oven Roasted Shrimp is, very much, one of those easy and delicious recipe options. Our marinade includes wine, lemon, garlic and dried Greek oregano is so easy to put together and we promise you will be licking your fingers savoring every last drop! Cooked to perfection in just 20 minutes, this shrimp dish is absolutely delicious!

We use jumbo or colossal shrimp for this dish. You can purchase your shrimp fresh or frozen. We prefer fresh, but we have made this dish with frozen shrimp that we thaw prior to preparing the dish and it turns out just as yummy.

We like to leave the shrimp on the shell when we cook them for two reasons. First of all, it helps to retain the juiciness of the shrimp. Secondly, we often say that family dinners should be treated as an event. Leaving the shells on the shrimp forces you to take your time to peel and eat the shrimp, while enjoying good food and good conversation. Yes, it’s a little messy but that’s part of the fun!

Preparation is easy and quick. Simply rinse the shrimp well under cold water and drain them well before putting them in your baking dish. Prepare the marinade and pour it over the shrimp. That’s it! Cook for 20 minutes and serve with crusty French bread, and our Greek Salad.
